Hey everyone. Recently I had an idea on a few plugin gamemodes HL could have and I thought about sharing it with you guys, and maybe someone could do something with it.
If you played Call of Duty: Black Ops or seen stuff about it, you probably know about Wager Matches. These are simple gamemodes where six players bet in-game currency. I thought about how could these be ported to HLDM and I ended up with some interesting stuff:
One in the ChamberIn this gamemode, the game gives you a pistol (or the .357 in this case) and a single bullet. This bullet can kill with one shot, and a kill gives you another bullet. You can also use the crowbar in case you're out of bullets. You can stack up to 3 bullets with this. On Black Ops you only have three lives, but in HL it would have to be infinite I think.
SharpshooterSharpshooter starts the game giving everyone the same random weapon (e.g. everyone starts with an mp5, or shotgun, etc.). After 30 seconds, the game switches over to another weapon. And it goes on and on until the timelimit is reached.
Sticks and StonesThis would be a challenging gamemode where no bullet weapons can be used. In Half-Life, players would spawn with a crossbow, the hornetgun and a crowbar (preferably with the flying crowbar plugin). You can only use explosive bolts with the crossbow. The crossbow would give you 2 score per kill, the hornetgun giving you the usual 1 score per kill and the crowbar would be the "humiliation" kill, resetting the player's score.
Then there's gungame, which already exists.
Since I can't code for crap, I don't know if this is possible. If anyone decides to do this, let me know and I'll try to help.
Thanks for reading.
EDIT: Found some videos of the original Black Ops gamemodes, posting here for the reference.

These videos aren't really accurate but I hope you get the idea with them.
Thanks for the thanks!
