Building on the premise of the previous two rfyl maps. I decided to try to build one bigger and less intense. While at the same time trying to employ as many vis blockers as possible. The inspiration was my memory of some gothic era paintings of hell, dark, austere, lava, nasty water. And then I toned the entire idea down a bit because I wanted it to not look quite so nasty. And after I had reloaded my machine and didn't have my texturing tools handy so I had to use a lot of the DMC.wad textures. Yep I was lazy.

There are a few secrets, some of them I thought would be cool to do. Just because no one would expect this sort of thing to happen...

a) There are hidden doors in the sides of the tops of the four inner towers. Each tower contains something different.

b) There is a hidden room that has four teleports and an animated overview map (kinda like the rustmill map but way cooler).

c) There are ways up into the sky... that's there just because theres always someone who will think that thats a great place to go. Ha! not when you can't run from it.

(b) & (c) are marked by audible clues and/or are fed into by (a)

The r_speeds look alright and average at 60fps unless one is in the sky then the drop as low as 39fps. The poly counts are usually below 4000. But again in the sky the poly counts max out at about 5200.

I personally would not recomend running it on a low end machine. I wanted to make more out of this but ran into the upper end of the max number of brush based entities, Doh! So I had to delete some cool stuff :( it was very hellish the stuff I deleted, trust me.

Thanks:
A special thanks to my girfriend and fellow player [CDI] Juliette.
And thanks to my friend, co-worker and clan server admin [CDI] Tango

A very special thanks and a flip of the finger to my ex for the "Hell" inspiration. She said I was probably going to go there.
