---Storyline---

Several years into the future, wars involving the United States have become rather frequent, and increasingly more violent. More lives are lost with each battle, and new weapons have been manufactured with the assistance of the Taar'e (TR-uh), our new alien allies. The Taar'e have already helped us in the past, providing several weapons for the Great Southern Trade Killings of 2017, as well as providing chemical resources in the Battle of Los Angeles in 2021, a conflict which we are still experiencing today, five years after it migrted westward into Japan.
Now, the Taar'e are facing a conflict of their own. For the first time in 350 years, war has been declared on this typically peaceful nation. Their representatives have told us very little about the situation, but we as a nation, generally willing to help those in need, have offered to help the Taar'e in their time of need. WarCorps Research Industries, a west coast company, has accepted the government's challenge to engineer a stronger, faster, more effective soldier. Fortunately for the Taar'e, WarCorps had already been working on a procedure to solve a similar dilemma they were experiencing on Earth.
Their answer to the problem was Cholericol, a new hormone-enhancing drug. Named from the English word "choleric", meaning "easily moved to often unreasonable or excessive anger". Cholericol was quite unique, in that it only required a small amount (about 5mg) to last one soldier for almost a year. Cholericol was used to mold tiny microchips that would be surgically embedded onto a soldier's adrenal gland, near the kidney. A small battery on the chip would administer low-level electrical currents directly into the chip when it sensed an increased heart rate. The chip required no surgical procedure to remove either. Because the chip was made from Cholericol, the electrical currents would slowly dissolve the chip over time, and eventually any remaining fragments would fall loose and be flushed out of the body.
The first implenentation of Cholericol (Generation A) was a failure. Several test subjects reported extreme drowsiness, and some even grew physically ill. Second and third generation trials produced similar results, and showed minimal progress. Only a few months ago, scientists performed several tests to determine the makeup of amino acids within Cholericol. Their research may have provided the key to Cholericol's elusive box. The currents being used to stimulate the drug were simply destroying the chips, and any increase in strength was due to small fragments incidentally being absorbed by the adrenal gland. After two more months of work, the WarCorps science team had engineered a special suit that used a device they called the HEV, or Hormone Enabling Valve. Special battery cells using a low-level form of radiation were used to power the suit, and feed the correct currents into the chip, producing rather successful results in the labs. The newest implementation Cholericol-D, may very well solve a great deal of problems on our own planet, as well as that of the Taar'e.

About a week ago you received the following email from WarCorps Research Industries:

Subject: WarCorps Research Industries invites you!

Dear sir or madam,

We at WarCorps Research Industries would like to offer
you a sum of $10,000 to participate in a test procedure designed
to help alleviate wartime struggles for America, as well as for
other nations. You can make a difference! Be a hero to your country
and assist in the devlopment of crucial new technologies that will
be of great value to ending the constant war that we face.

The procedure is experimental, but is in its fourth phase
of production, and no extreme irregularities have occurred in previous
trials. If you are interested or would like more information, please
reply to this email, and I will do my best to answer any questions you
may have.

Thank you for your cooperation, and have a very safe day.

W. Bennett
Project Leader
WarCorps Research Industries

---------------------------------------------------------------

Suffering the ennui and general hardships that life brings, you reluctantly respond, promising to arrive bright and early to participate in the experiment. You have no idea what to expect upon arrival at the facility, which is located conveniently in the middle of a desert. About an hour later, you along with several others are collected in a conference room and briefed on what will happen. Towards the end of the meeting, nervous glances are exchanged around the room as men in scrubs prepare you and your fellow test subjects for surgery. It isn't until you are wheeled into the operation room and the mask is secured across your face that you truly begin to wonder if this was such a good idea.

---Notes---

The map is an arena for the research team to observe how you will interact with your fellow test subjects when put under conditions where conflict is present, and the option to bring major physical harm to those you disagree with is available. It only took about one day for everyone to grow tired enough of each other to request being put into the arena. It started out early, with no one agreeing on what to have for breakfast, followed by arguments on what to watch on TV, which musical artist was the most talented, and on who would clean up after dinner. That night, a brawl erupted over a football game on television. Quickly things escalated, and at about 8:30PM, Walter Bennett recieved a knock on his door, and there you all stood asking if you could "have a gun to use to paint the walls with that one asshole who kept stealing the remote". A huge grin decorating his face, Walter notified a few other scientists, and led you all out to the arena. You have no idea what effects the Cholericol will have on you, and you don't care. The only thought running through your head is pure, unbridled hatred.

Following the storyline, the gas that you can use to fill the blue room is a more potent version of Cholericol-D, which shares properties similar to those of a nerve gas, and has been condensed and stored in gaseous form. Unfortunately, the higher concentration proves toxic and breathing it is often fatal. If you are carrying a good amount of charge in your battery cells however, the chip will activate following an inreased heart rate, and enough Cholericol-D may be secreted into your adrenal glands to keep you alive.

Just for the record, I DO NOT support airborne, Gauss-abusing, Contact Grenade users, who have only adopted a flaw in gameplay, and not talent or skill. Although both are available in the map, they are placed strategically. I am the one who makes the maps, and you are the ones who play them. So I can only control things on one end. Play fairly, use your skills, whatever they may be.

E-mail me with any comments on the level, praise or criticism.
Any feedback is much appreciated.

---Special thanks---
Thank you to everyone who helped playtest the map: Ruthless, St0nec0ld, [U$A]CHA0$, and everyone in the [CWA] Crowbars With Attitude clan.

I'd also like to thank my fourth period math teacher for being patient enough to put up with me sketching blueprints in class, rather than paying attention :)
